CYL Sauna Studio, Hotel Clio

During our stay at Hotel Clio, Luxury Collection Hotel in Cherry Creek, the hotel arranged for us to visit the CYL Sauna Studio. CYL Sauna Studio is an infrared sauna experience that boosts the immune system, reduces stress, improves workout recovery and circulation, rejuvenates skin, & burns calories.

We arrived at CYL Sauna Studio and got checked in for our standard 30 minute sweat sessions. Each of our sweat sessions were in personal infrared sauna pods in private rooms. The CYL saunas are designed for the deepest, most detoxifying sweat through the use of infrared light (heat).

Water isn't provided by the studio but is available for purchase so make sure to buy water or to bring a water bottle from home to drink. You'll want to stay hydrated during and after your sweat sesh - the heat is intense. 

We were led to our private rooms and given a brief safety run down of the sauna pods.

I got into my birthday suit, started my audiobook on my phone and entered my pod. Let the CYL sweat session begin.

About 15 minutes in, my body was completely drenched in sweat. My pod was hot, hot, hot! I used the complimentary cool towel on the top of my pod to bring my body temperature down. The front desk associate came to check on each of us at the 15 minute mark to make sure we were doing ok.

All of our faces were the equivalent of glazed donuts during our sessions - the chin sweat was real.

After 30 minutes, my infrared sauna detoxification was over. I got dressed and I met my friends in the CYL lobby. We all sweated A LOT and certainly felt the benefits of muscle relaxation & increased circulation immediately. 

We then headed back to Hotel Clio for brunch.
