Go Fish Sushi

Looking for a vibey lounge to enjoy incredible sushi & cocktails? Go Fish Sushi is the spot. Ross and I spent our Saturday night here & had an absolute blast while enjoying amazing sushi and drinks.

Go Fish Sushi

We arrived at Go Fish Sushi and we were ushered back into the Lounge - the Lounge was dark with neon lighting and filled with chic, low seated black & white furniture. The purple & blue lighting struck a perfect balance between sexy and cool while creating an atmosphere where we wanted to imbibe.

Go Fish Sushi’s Lounge

General Manager, Antonio brought high & infectious energy to the lounge and ensured we had everything we needed during our visit. He knew everything on Go Fish's beverage and food menu and he had us try some of his favorites including the snow aged Hakkaisan Junmai Daiginjo Sake.

Hakkaisan Junmai Daiginjo Sake

The Hakkaisan Junmai Daiginjo Sake was served chilled and was a lovely, smooth sipper. It was refreshing with subtle pear undertones and paired perfectly with our sashimi & sushi.

Our server Jay was attentive and endearing - he made our dining experience enjoyable and made sure our drink and food orders came to the table correctly & quickly.

For cocktails I had the Kappa Spritzer. The Kapp Spritzer is made with Roku gin, elderflower liqueur, lime juice, muddled cucumber, mint and topped with Pellegrino.

Kappa Spritzer

This cool cucumber cocktail was thirst-quenching and made me savor the warm weather we've been having. The Pellegrino added bubbles on the tongue. It was an easy drinker & I easily (and happily) downed two.

For Sushi Bar Starters we had the Jalapeno Yellowtail Sashimi.

Jalapeno Yellowtail Sashimi

Now this is what I'm talking about! I have never had yellowtail sashimi sliced so generously and it was everything. The big slices of yellowtail fillet were chewy in texture and had a sweet, mild flavor with high oil content. The jalapeno added a flare of spice & snap to this delicious starter.

For Special Sushi Rolls we had the El Diablo, Firecracker, Bad Daddy and Amazing. Take a look at this impressive sushi board presentation.

The El Diablo Roll is made with kani, salmon, & mango then topped with seared Kobe beef, the chef's special black pepper sauce, & onion sasa.

El Diablo Roll

SO GOOD (the El Diablo Roll was my favorite). The seared Kobe beef was rich & had an intense meaty feel and finish. The flavorful black pepper sauce was a great match with the beef. The mango added a sweet, juicy taste while the salmon and kani's lightness complemented the flavor of the roll as a whole.

The Firecracker Roll is made with stuffed jalapeno, cream cheese, shrimp, & spicy tuna - it is deep fried then topped with the chef's special ponzu & eel sauce on top.

Firecracker Roll

The texture of the Firecracker Roll was spot on. The exterior was lightly fried and that tempura crunch gave way to velvety cream cheese, smooth tuna & snap of jalapeno.

The Bad Daddy is made with spicy lobster, eel & avocado topped with soft shell crab, mango & mango sauce.

Bad Daddy

The lobster tempura and eel inside the roll were savory. The soft shell crab and mango enhanced this roll with sweetness and gave it the right blend of fresh flavor.

The Amazing Roll is made with yellowtail, tuna, salmon, jalapeno & avocado then topped with fresh scallop & wasabi sasa.

Amazing Roll

If you’re looking for a lot of fresh fish - this is the roll for you. The yellowtail, tuna, salmon and scallop all came together for a light yet protein heavy roll that was mild (& somewhat sweet) with the scallop adding a nice buttery taste.

For Nigiri we had 2 pieces of the A5 Japanese Wagyu per Antonio’s recommendation.

The nigiri was swoon-worthy; it had been blow-torched to smoky perfection and that slight sear brought out the meat's sweetness.

Before dessert, Antonio had us try Go Fish’s Pineapple infused sake (which is infused in-house) - this is one of their most popular beverage offerings.

The chilled pineapple infused sake had an engaging flavor of ripe pineapple and left us with a smooth, tropical mouthfeel. We can see why it’s so popular.

For dessert we had the Specialty Dessert which was Japanese Tiramisu (Go Fish partners with a local bakery that specializes in Japanese pastries).

The Tiramisu was a deliciously airy dessert with a spongey ladyfinger crust topped with a light filling - it made for wispy, fluffy bites.

Huge thanks to Go Fish Sushi, Owner Sherry, Antonio & Jay for hosting us!

Check it out babes and let them know that denv.her. sent you! xx
