STK, Happy Hour

The Pressure Is Good For You - STK has rolled out a new Happy Hour menu and we were excited to try it out this past weekend. STK's Happy Hour menu is available from 2:30 - 6:30pm Monday through Friday and includes a selection of delicious cocktails and light bites in a sexy environment.

We arrived at STK and were seated in the bar. STK is sleek with a side of scene - the aesthetic is sultry with blue uplighting, grand white florals and a live DJ who keeps the energy high.

Our server Rick was awesome - he was quick and professional with fast-paced service making sure we had everything that we needed throughout our Happy Hour.

For drinks, Rick recommended that I try the Cucumber Stiletto which is one of STK's signature cocktails. The Cucumber Stiletto is made with Grey Goose Le Citron Vodka, St Germain, muddled cucumber & mint (HH price $9).

Yum - a great recommendation from Rick. This cocktail was served in a martini glass with a floating cucumber garnish. The Cucumber Stiletto was smooth with a crisp finish - a refreshing choice as we get into warmer spring weather and an easy, elegant sipper that you can have several of.

Rick brought us out a plethora of STK's Happy Hour bites & it was time to start eating.

The Tuna Tartare Tacos were served atop guacamole (HH price $9).

The Tuna Tartare tacos were one of my favorites from the HH menu - the three primary components of the tacos were the taco shell, guacamole, and of course the tartare. The crunchy taco shell contrasted beautifully in texture with the creamy guacamole and soft, diced tuna. The flavors were light, mild & overall refreshing.

The Lil Brgs are made with wagyu beef, special sauce and served on a sesame seed bun (HH price $6).

The wagyu beef on the Lil' Brgs was drool worthy - buttery & sweet. The texture of the meat was firm with a juicy interior that had serious umami flavor. The special sauce on the burgers gave them a tangy kick that we couldn't get enough of. You cannot go to STK and not get the Lil' Brgs - they are a MUST order and my favorite STK app.

The Oysters on a Half Shell were served alongside mignonette and cocktail sauce (HH price $3).

The east coast oysters had nice salinity and the west coast were sweet. We topped with tabasco for some spice.

The Short Rib Croquettes were served with Mustard Cream (HH price $6).

The Short Rib Croquettes were golden brown and completely filled with shredded, savory meat. Ross with his big appetite loved this beefy appetizer - nice & filling.

STK's house sourdough bread is served in a cast iron pot with chive oil dipping sauce on the side (always free).

STK’s bread is the best - crisp on the outside, soft & fluffy on the inside. The chive dipping sauce the bread comes with is mouthwatering.

The Crispy Calamari is made with basil, shishito peppers and served alongside roasted garlic & lime aioli and asian chili sauce (HH price $9).

I loved the addition of the shishito peppers here - the peppers added a wonderful punch to a traditional calamari and added a nice green color contrast to the dish.

The Giant Wagyu Meatballs are served in a cast iron skillet (HH price $6).

The meatballs were big, bold and entirely made out of wagyu beef - rich & tender.

The Tater Tots are served with a spicy aioli (HH price $3).

The Tater Tots were piping hot discs that were crisp on the outside with fluffy goodness on the inside. The buttery, potato interior of these Tater Tots were top notch in texture.

The Jalapeno Pickled Shrimp Cocktail was served alongside cocktail sauce (HH price $9).

The shrimp were large and meaty with a good ocean flavor. We loved the spice from the cocktail sauce & jalapenos.

Now that's how you Happy Hour Denver!
