The girls and I checked out The Post Chicken & Beer in LoHi for brunch & had ourselves a Sunday Funday.

We arrived at The Post Chicken & Beer, LoHi and were seated on the patio. The aesthetic of The Post is groovy and fun and is featured by Guy Fieri on Food Network’s Diners Drive-Ins, & Dives. You know what this means - this spot serves award-winning Colorado-style fried chicken, farm-fresh sides, and award-winning Beer.

The staff of The Post were engaging and fun. Manager, Kendall added so much sparkle to our meal with her vivacious personality & stellar recommendations.

To kick off our brunch we started with cocktails - Kendall suggested the Farmer's Breakfast and we're so glad she did. The Farmer's Breakfast is made with peach vodka, orange, strawberry, lime, and a #knowfilter float.

Talk about a perfect brunch cocktail, the Farmer's Breakfast looked like a sunrise! This gorgeous cocktail was so refreshing & an easy sipper. I sucked two down and could have kept going!

Kenzy had the Brunch Paloma. The Brunch Paloma is made with tequila, grapefruit juice, agave, lime juice, & club soda.

The Brunch Paloma was a lovely shade of pink from the fresh grapefruit juice. The key tastes of this cocktail were sour and sharp with a tingle of citrus.

To Share we had the Deviled Eggs, Crispy Thigh Fries and Donut Holes.

The Deviled Eggs are served with pickled pepper relish, crispy chicken skin, & fresh chives.

These southern inspired deviled eggs were so freaking good and one of our favorites from our brunch. The crispy chicken skin that topped the egg added an awesome crunchy texture that contrasted with the creamy, cold, mayonnaise filling and smooth egg.

The Crispy Thigh Fries are buttermilk marinated fried chicken thigh strips and served with el corn beer mustard & curry ketchup.

The Crispy Thigh Fries were extra crispy on the outside and very tender and juicy on the inside. The curry ketchup was my favorite dipping sauce and had a nice spicy kick to it.

The Donut Holes are made with cinnamon sugar and served with maple whipped cream.

The doughnut holes were sweet little spheres of fluffy, warm cake coated in cinnamon sugar. The maple whipped cream made for great dipping.

For Brunch Plates we had the Chicken & Waffle Supreme, the Smothered Breakfast Burrito and the Sweatpants Salad.

The Chicken & Waffle Supreme is a hot and sticky fried jumbo bone in chicken thigh and leg, & honey butter served atop a buttermilk waffle.

Hell yes - this is the best chicken and waffles I have ever had; & there was no need to choose between savory or sweet with this mouthwatering brunch plate. The bone in chicken thigh and leg were so freaking flavorful and juicy. The chicken meat was dark and had a deep, meaty flavor. The waffle and honey butter brought in the sweetness.

The Smothered Breakfast Burrito is made with chorizo, fried chicken, brunch potato, beans, scrambled eggs, green chile, melted cheddar, pico and crema.

This was a great Breakfast Burrito - a huge portion that was stuffed to the brim with all the good fillings.

The Sweatpants Salad is made with crispy thigh fries, knife and fork romaine, bacon, biscuit croutons, chopped pickle, cheddar, egg, hot cherry peppers, & ranch dressing.

The Sweatpants Salad was solid and a lighter option - the large pieces of romaine were fresh and had great snap to them.

For Sweet Stuff we had the Chocolate S'mores Pudding Jar, The Blueberry Cheesecake Jar and the Chocolate Whoopie Pie - all of these desserts were so yummy.

Such a fun dessert that requires no campfire! The creamy s'mores pudding was oh so chocolatey, smooth & rich. The torched marshmallows added in the toasted component.

The Blueberry Cheesecake Jar is made with toasted oat crumble & lemon.

Another yummy, no-bake dessert jar that gave us beautiful fruit flavors. The blueberry and lemon were so refreshing and the cheesecake had a nice mousse-like texture. The perfect dessert for spring and summer.

The Chocolate Whoopie Pie is made with chocolate & whipped filling.

The Chocolate Whoopie Pie was like a cookie sandwich made with two chocolate mini cake rounds. The chocolate cake was nice and fluffy in texture and the vanilla filling was airy. This dessert was delicious in it's complementary flavors of rich dark chocolate & sweet vanilla.
