Ross and I arrived at Clayton Members Club & Hotel and had the car valeted. The valets were professional and accommodating, opening all doors for us and assisting with luggage. The Clayton's lobby used light oak wood, steel details and neutral toned textiles that brought modernity and warmth into the space.

Clayton Members Club & Hotel Lobby

Clayton Members Club & Hotel will have a wine bar and new restaurant going into the adjacent areas of their lobby soon (these concepts are not yet open).

Clayton’s front desk attendant was vibrant and seamlessly checked us in. We were in a Clayton King room for our stay - the room offered space for business and leisure travelers alike and was equipped with a corner sectional sofa and a moveable working desk. The room included a Smart TV with online streaming available, complimentary WiFi, locally curated private bar, luxurious bathroom amenities and blackout drapes.

The Clayton provided the cutest welcome tray with some bubbly - Prosecco is important at all times.

Clayton Hotel guests have access to the private members club which offers a rooftop pool & restaurant. The pool is open from 8am to 10pm. Ross and I got up early on Saturday and had the pool all to ourselves for about an hour - it was everything.

The pool had blue and white cushioned daybeds surrounding its exterior along with personalized Clayton towels. Daybeds can be reserved at the front desk upon check in or at the pool with the pool manager. Since we got to the pool right when it opened, it wasn't necessary for us to reserve a daybed.

We took a dip in the pool, listened to audio books and music, and lounged & napped in one of the daybeds for a couple of hours- talk about a summer dream in the heart of Cherry Creek.

Around 11:30am, the pool really started to fill up so Ross and I packed our things up and headed inside to enjoy the Rooftop Restaurant. We were seated in the main dining room. The Rooftop Restaurant's aesthetic was airy Mediterranean with rattan pendant lights and blue and sandy hues throughout the space.

As an ode to feeling like we were in the Med, I had to order the Lime & Yuzu Spritz cocktail. The Spritz is made with aperol, lime yuzhu soda, sparkling wine & orange.

Lime & Yuzu Spritz

I am not a huge aperol fan but the Lime & Yuzu Spritz was really good. The lime's zesty flavor along with the yuzu's floral sweetness balanced out the bitter orange taste of the aperol - incredibly refreshing and I happily downed two of these.

For Shareables we started with the Chicken Shawarma Hummus with Crudités made with castelvetrano olive, pine nut, olive oil, pita bread & fresh vegetables.

Chicken Shawarma Hummus with Crudités

A MUST ORDER. The Chicken Shawarma Hummus is the best hummus Ross and I have ever had (this is the same hummus Clayton's closed restaurant Of A Kind used to serve). The creamy hummus was centered around thinly sliced cuts of tender marinated chicken. The chicken had a deep, tangy flavor of turmeric and garlic. The warm, mouthwatering hummus and chicken paired with the snappy crudités (vegetables) and chewy pita bread make for an unreal combination.

For Salads we had the Palisade Peach & Burrata made with heirloom tomatoes, basil and housemade focaccia.

It's Palisade Peach season so the peaches in this salad were perfectly ripe and juicy AF. The sweetness of the peaches paired nicely with the rich burrata and countered the acidity of the tomatoes.

For Handhelds we had the Shrimp Tacos and the Mahi Mahi Tacos. The Shrimp Tacos are made with red onion, cilantro, lime, and avocado mousse. The Mahi Mahi Tacos are made with cilantro cream, cabbage slaw & citrus salsa.

If you are staying at Clayton and wanting to check out Five Nines, the cocktail and speakeasy of the hotel, make sure to make a reservation. Five Nines is open to the public and is a smaller venue so it books out and fills up quickly. We didn't have a reservation and tried to do a walk in as hotel guests and were quoted a 2 hour wait time so didn't end up going. Find a previous review of my visit to Five Nines here .

Big thanks to Clayton Members Club & Hotel, Clayton staff, Erica Langwell, Nicolle Montgomery and b public relations for hosting us!
