Cretans

Cretans is an energetic Mediterranean wine bar & restaurant in Cherry Creek. The girls & I had a wonderful evening here and already can’t wait to go back.

Cretans

We arrived at Cretans and were sat in a velvet banquette in the main dining area. The aesthetic of Cretans was playful & sexy with dark greens, gold accents & two full bars in the space. Our server, Katie was lovely - she was quick to serve and very knowledgeable on the menu.

For Cocktails I had the Dirty Vodka Pour-Over Martini with Spicy Pepperoncini & Lemon Zest.

Dirty Vodka Pour-Over Martini

This briny, pepperoncini martini served icy cold secured it's spot as my current favorite cocktail in Denver. It was so freaking good. The spicy peppers provided delicate heat while the lemon provided a light zest. Not only was the taste phenomenal, the presentation of the pour-over right at the table was everything. Mixologist, Tino did a fabulous job telling us about the pour-over martinis as well as Cretans numerous other drink offerings.

Ally & Hannah had the Strawberry Sbagliato made with Strawberry-Infused Aperol & Carpano Antica.

Strawberry Sbagliato

The Strawberry Sbagliato had gorgeous presentation in a tall, globe cocktail glass. This cocktail was fruity & bittersweet with a refreshing sparkle on the tongue.

Kenzy had a Pomegranate Mocktail.

Pomegranate Mocktail

The pomegranate mocktail was tart & fresh - a festive drink for the holidays.

For dinner we had the Osetra Caviar Sliders, Kusshi Oysters, Greek Goat Cheese, Baby Back Ribs, Garlic Tiger Prawns, & the Tanara 24 Month Prosciutto.

The Osetra Caviar Sliders were served on a bun with avocado spread.

Osetra Caviar Sliders

These sliders were our favorite dish of the night - they were mouthwateringly buttery & rich. The Osetra caviar was round & plump with a lingering nutty flavor. The warm pastry bread that held the caviar was toasted, giving it a light crunch on the outside while it remained soft & fluffy on the inside.

The Kusshi Oysters were served as a half dozen with Barberry Mignonette.

Kusshi Oysters

The Kusshi Oysters were mildly briny with a fruity finish from the mignonette; overall fresh AF.

The Greek Goat Cheese were four mixed goat cheese bons bons.

Greek Goat Cheese

The goat cheese balls were creamy & tangy with four yummy topping variations.

The Baby Back Ribs were served with Smoked Cherry Glaze.

Baby Back Ribs

The ribs were tender & fatty and generously coated in jazzy, cherry glaze. The glaze made for an ideal sticky lacquer for the savory meat.

The Garlic Tiger Prawns were served with Pan Con Tomate.

Garlic Tiger Prawns

The prawns were delicious - the garlic, parsley and lemon brought out a zest & freshness to the savory shrimps.

The Tanara 24 Month Prosciutto was served with Black Truffle Potato Chips.

Just look at that presentation - the Tanara 24 Month Prosciutto enveloped a mountain of potato chips drizzled in black truffle oil. The prosciutto had a rosy coloring and smooth texture that went well against the crunch of the chips. The prosciutto was mild & delicate in flavor and it’s earthiness was brought out by the truffle oil.

Huge thanks to Cretans, Katie, Tino, Katie Toppin, Nicolle Mongomery and B Public Relations for hosting us!

Check it out babes & let them know that denv.her. sent you! xx
