Forget Me Not

Forget Me Not is a new cocktail bar in Cherry Creek that has everyone buzzing. Forget Me Not is named after the flower and the name might be paying some homage to the previous use of Forget Me Not’s space which used to be a flower shop. Forget Me Not's aesthetic combines luxe with funk - with its purple leather barstools, velvet banquettes, numerous skylights and gold accents (such as the feather chandelier), the vibe is of sophisticated quirk with a dash of eccentricity from the staff.

Kali and I went in for cocktails on a Friday and the space was very busy. We had made a reservation two weeks in advance and highly recommend making a reservation due to Forget Me Not’s current popularity. We were seated on the dark red velvet banquette that lines the exterior of the bar right at our reservation time. Our waiter was a bit manic and had some issues remembering what we had ordered; but overall he was very nice and certainly added some flair to our experience.

For cocktails, we started with the La Pina and Nobody's Angel.

La Pina is made with blanco tequila, smoked pineapple, lemon, cucumber & jalapeno - to the heat of it all. This was a fabulous spicy marg and the smoked pineapple is a game changer. The sweet and smoky notes of the smoked pineapple meld DELICIOUSLY with the blanco tequila.

Nobody's Angel is made with earl grey gin, italicus, sweet lemon, & sparkling wine - they say I'm trouble and I don't give a damn. This is a cocktail to convert gin haters; it's refreshing, crisp & is neither too sweet nor too light. Nobody's Angel is perfectly suited for sultry summer evenings, & it’s pretty!

For snacks, we had the Maine Lobster Roll and the Cheese Board.

The Maine Lobster Roll is made with Maine lobster, cucumber, lemon, celery, and a split top bun.

For being in a landlocked state, this Lobster Roll was tasty and we were impressed with it. The lobster meat was fresh. The split-top toasted bun had a subtle sweetness to it which helped bring out the sweetness of the lobster meat. We will definitely be ordering more Lobster Rolls from Forget Me Not in the future.

The Cheese Board is made with the chef's selection of four cheeses and served with local honeycomb & dried fruit.

The Cheese Board had a nice variety of cheeses with different textures and the honey and dried fruit complemented the cheeses well. You can never go wrong with a cheese board and some cocktails!

We’ll be visiting Forget Me Not again - especially as we get into warmer days - they have a darling little patio and they will have live music. Check it out and let them know that denv.her. sent you!
