Forget Me Not

What to do in Denver on a Wednesday evening? Head to Forget Me Not in Cherry Creek to get down on some funky beats, the city's best oysters & most importantly the Lobster Crunch Wrap Supreme. That's right, you heard me!

Forget Me Not's aesthetic combines luxe with funk - with its purple leather barstools, velvet banquettes, numerous skylights and gold accents (such as the feather chandelier), the vibe is of sophisticated quirk with a dash of eccentricity from the staff.

For cocktails we had the La Pina and You're the One.

La Pina is made with Blanco tequila, smoked pineapple, lemon, cucumber & jalapeño - to the heat of it all.

Smooth with a whisper of spice; La Pina goes down easy and I'm always quick to order another! The smoked pineapple’s sweet and smoky notes meld DELICIOUSLY with the Blanco tequila. This is my favorite cocktail at Forget Me Not.

Now what about the blue cocktail with the rubber ducky? That one is called 'You're the One'.

You're the One is made with Blanco tequila, curacao, tart pineapple and egg white.

For eats we had the Shucker's dozen oysters, the Lobster Crunch Wrap Supreme, Caviar Service and the Cheese and Salumi Board.

The one and only Oyster Wullf - Ben Wolven - can be found at Forget Me Not shucking oysters straight from Maine, Wednesday through Saturday. Ben sources his seafood from The Maine Oyster Company and the quality is freaking stellar. If you're lucky, Oyster Wullf may even grab you for an oyster toss!

The Shucker's dozen oysters are shucked and selected by Ben. Oyster options are as follows: Cape Small from New Meadows River, ME - med brine, clean, buttery and sweet, medium in size and described as love in an ivory cup. Wolfe's Neck from Castco Bay, ME - nutty, salty, earthy, medium in size and described as bomb ass layers of flavor.

Whiskey Stone from Casco Bay, ME - medium brine, citrus notes, hang time like MJ in his prime, small/medium in size and described as round melons finish. Chebeague from Casco Bay, ME - bright vegetation, high brine, sweet and small in size. Winnegance from West Bath, ME - medium in size. Taylor Kumamoto from Hood Canal, WA - small in size and described as vegetal and sweeter than a designated driver (lol).

Are you ready to have your mind blown and taste buds absolutely rejoicing in food heaven? Let me introduce you to Oyster Wullf's Lobster Crunch Wrap Supreme. The Lobster Crunch Wrap Supreme is made with 4oz Lobster, Calabrian chili aioli, tomato and shrettuce.

YUM YUM YUM YUM I CANNOT GET ENOUGH YUM. The Crunch Wrap was loaded with sweet, succulent lobster that was both rich and satisfying. The Calabrian chili aioli gave a great spice to the crunch wrap and paired beautifully with the toasted tortilla. This thing is sinful in both flavor and texture; hands down one of my favorite eats in Denver if you couldn't tell!

Caviar service anyone? We had the Caviar Service which included 30g Sturia Osetra, blinis, crème fraîche, shallots, and egg jam.

The caviar was complex and nutty - creamy walnut flavor notes were present - with a pleasing burst of salty sea flavor.

We had the Cheese and Salumi Board with the chef’s selection of four cheeses and four cured meats.

The Cheese and Salumi Board were served with fruit compote, dried fruit, violet mustard, cornichon and salt & pepper crackers.

Check it out babes and let them know that denv.her. sent you! xx
