Christmas at Gaylord Rockies

Who else loves getting into the Christmas spirit?!

denv.her. was invited out to experience Christmas at Gaylord Rockies this past weekend and we had the greatest time. We left this holiday event absolutely beaming & filled with Christmas cheer (and we will 100% be attending every year moving forward)!

The Gaylord resort has implemented extensive cleaning protocols and created new guest experiences for keeping guests’ safety top of mind in these unprecedented times. All of the Gaylord’s restaurants are offering takeout menus so food and beverage can be enjoyed outside while indoor dining restrictions are in place for CO. We were safe and socially distanced from others through our Gaylord experience!

So what does Christmas at Gaylord Rockies have to offer? ‘I Love Christmas Movies’ – An Immersive Pop-Up Experience, Snow Tubing, a Merry Snoopy Christmas Scavenger Hunt, a Snow Merry-Go-Round made up of snow tubes, Ice Skating, Ice Bumper Cars, and ‘LIGHT!’ where you can walk through a path lit by beautiful Christmas lights and outdoor decorations. You can find out more about Gaylord’s Christmas events & activities HERE!

Our favorite activities were ‘I Love Christmas Movies’ & Snow Tubing!

Our guide for ‘I Love Christmas Movies’ was Chris and he was exceptional!

Chris led us through the immersive pop-up Christmas experience and you could tell how much he valued the guests and enjoyed his job.

Here are a couple of the pop-ups we visited!

We were led through ‘Elf’.

"They call me Heat Miser, Whatever I touch, Starts to melt in my clutch. I'm too much!"

We were led through Polar Express.

“You've got- Hot choc-o-lat!”

We were led through National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation.

“SQUIRREL!”

We were led through the Nativity scene.

CHILLS!

The Nativity scene was hands down our favorite part of the exhibit; my friends & I almost started crying when we walked into this room! After such a tumultuous year, the nativity is symbol of hope and promise and certainly created a lasting impression with our group. We applaud the Gaylord for including it in the experience!!

Then it was time for some refreshments - we headed to the bar outside and got some spiked hot chocolate (a cup of cheer if you will lol). We sat at one of the patio tables & enjoyed our drinks in the sun!

After we had finished up our hot chocolate, tubing was up next! We got our sanitized tubes and headed up the stairs to zip down the ice slide.

Tubing was too much fun!

Lots of laughing (and lots of screaming lol) for this activity. We love a good snow slide.

We then walked through LIGHT! & made our way to Gaylord’s interior Christmas tree.

Needless to say there are so many instagrammable moments throughout the Gaylord right now!

Huge thanks to the Gaylord for hosting us for the day; it was the best time & we will be back very soon!

Head out to Christmas at Gaylord Rockies to get your holiday cheer on readers!! There is no better way to celebrate the holiday season; Merry Christmas!
