I had heard a lot of positive things about ChoLon but had yet to try it out for myself. The main rumbling we heard about this restaurant in the Denver stream of talk? “Get the dumplings. Get the dumplings. GET THE DUMPLINGS!” Like ok, chill - I’ll get the dumplings. & hey, I like dumplings as much as the next Asian inspired food lover; so I was ready to see if these dumplings lived up to their hype.

Denverites.

These. Freaking. Dumplings.

I am V pleased to report that ChoLon has the best dumplings I have ever - EVER - put in or around my mouth.

ChoLon’s sweet onion, gruyere soup dumplings are sure to leave you on your knees - take my word on that.

The dumplings are filled with piping hot French Onion soup - a fun and interesting take on dumpling filling with an explosion of flavor. They’re truly unlike any other dumpling I’ve had & leaps and bounds better.

Four dumplings come in one order and it’s safe to say, you’ll be wanting more - my husband and I had 3 orders of these bad boys! #moreplease

Ross and I also ordered the Wagyu Beef Skewers, the Pork Belly Buns and the Lobster Saigon Crepes.

The Wagyu Beef Skewers are served with Hong Kong Steak Sauce

The beef was tender and the sauce was nice and tangy.

The Pork Belly is coated in Sesame-Honey Glaze and served atop Pickles. The Pork Belly Buns come piping hot, soft and fluffy in a dim-sum basket.

This was Ross and I’s second favorite dish of the night. The Pork Belly is SO tender and the buns are delish.

The Lobster Saigon Crepes are served with Lettuce Cups, Nuoc Cham, and Fresh Herbs.

Now the Lobster Saigon Crepes were weird…but good weird lol. I’ve never had a dish like this. Basically, you take a piece of the crepe, put it into the lettuce cup and add the nuoc cham and fresh herbs.

This dish had a nice spicy kick to it and the lobster pieces in the crepe were nice and hearty.

We’ll be going back to ChoLon this weekend lol - because I seriously don’t think I’ll ever get enough of those dumplings and once you’ve had them, you legit crave them. See you there Denverites!
