Cretans is an energetic Mediterranean wine bar & restaurant in Cherry Creek - the perfect spot for an elevated hang-out with friends.

We arrived at Cretans and were sat in a velvet banquette in the main dining area. The aesthetic of Cretans was playful & sexy with dark greens, gold accents & two full bars. Our server, Katie was excellent; she was quick with service & poised.

For Cocktails we had the Spicy Pepperoncini Pour-Over Martini. This briny martini served icy cold is one of my favorite cocktails in Denver.

The pour over presentation at the table added flair. The pepperoncini provided a lingering heat while the lemon gave each sip zest. Savory & satisfying - a must order.

The Osetra Caviar Sliders were served on a brioche bun with avocado spread.

The sliders were mouthwateringly buttery & rich. The Osetra caviar was round & plump with a nutty flavor. The warm brioche was toasted, giving it a light crunch on the outside while it remained soft & fluffy on the inside.

The Dip Tower included 5 dips: Chickpea, Beet Muhammara, Avocado Dill, Roasted Eggplant, & Whipped Goat Cheese. The Dips were served with crudités & flatbread.

Our favorite dip out of the 5 was the Whipped Goat Cheese. The fluffy whipped goat cheese had apricots on top. Our second favorite was the Avocado Dill. The Avocado Dill had toasted pine nuts on top and was reminiscent of a pesto.

The Kusshi Oysters were served as a half dozen with Barberry Mignonette.

The Kusshi Oysters were small & fresh. They rushed onto the palate with mild brine & finished with delicate spice from the mignonette.

The Halloumi Fries were served with Oregano Aioli.

The fries were fried halloumi cheese - like a Mediterranean version of mozzarella sticks. The halloumi made for thick, cheesy bites that paired well with the creamy aioli.

The Yellowfin Tuna Tartare was made with saffron and currants.

The tuna tartare was fresh and and the yellowfin's taste was enhanced with the variable flavors of saffron and currants.

The Spicy Caesar was made with Little Gem Lettuce.

The little gem lettuce had a crisp center and was coated in creamy Caesar dressing and crunchy bread crumbs.
