Jasha Spa, JW Los Cabos

You can find me here.

The Jasha Spa at JW Los Cabos is one of the best spas I have ever been to - I’m talking the epitome of relaxation with all the luxe amenities in an unreal setting.

We arrived at the Jasha Spa and were shown to the locker rooms. We stored our belongings, changed into spa robes & slippers and then were shown through the space.

The spa had it all: an outdoor relaxation lounge, two pools, saunas, jacuzzis, a Temazacal & sparkling views of the Sea of Cortez.

The Jasha Spa captured the feeling of being one with the land & sea of Cabo - it was spectacular. The use of stone, wood, water & plants throughout the space was enveloping and gave us the feeling of being in a desert oasis.

Ross and I both had a Signature Relaxing Massages. The massage rooms were amazing - the glass window made it feel like we were in a Mexican jungle.

My masseuse, Monica was lovely - she was empathetic & a great listener. Monica ensured she knew which areas to focus on during my massage and what I needed out of the treatment. The Relaxing Massage was 50 minutes & involved a series of relaxation & therapeutic massage sequences and targeted stretching. The targeted stretching I had never experienced in a massage before and I LOVED it. It really catapulted the entire massage experience as the stretching released a lot of my muscle tension (specifically in my neck and back) & remedied tightness. I was left with an overwhelming feeling of well-being following my massage.

I went back to the lounge to meet up with Ross & then we headed to the Temazcal for the Temazacal Ceremony.

The Temazcal Ceremony is used in traditional Mexican cultures as a type of sweat lodge to promote health & religious connection. A Temazacalero (a master in the ancient art of well-being) led us through the ceremony where hot stones were placed in the center of the Temazcal to create an enormous amount of steam. The ceremony included musical instruments, chanting and a guided spiritual journey of discovery & rebirth. A note that the Temazcal Ceremony gets a bit claustrophobic due to how hot & dark it is in there; I participated for about half of the ceremony and then excused myself.

I took a dip in the Jasha Spa’s pool that overlooks the Sea of Cortez to cool down & wrapped up my spa experience at the outdoor relaxation lounge - a rested, centered & happy girl.
