Catamaran Snorkel Tour, JW Los Cabos

During our stay at JW Los Cabos, we were able to experience a Catamaran Snorkel Tour. The hotel arranged for a charter bus to take us from the resort to the marina located in downtown Cabo San Lucas. The bus ride was about 20 minutes. We arrived at the marina & got situated on the catamaran; then embarked on our tour.

The catamaran staff was awesome - they had great energy and they kept us informed and safe. There was a bar on the catamaran and our drinks were always full and the music was always bumping.

Lover’s Beach

We enjoyed a scenic cruise on the Sea of Cortez and made our first stops at Lover’s Beach and the world-famous Cabo San Lucas Arch (locally known as "El Arco" or "Land's End"). The arch is a distinctive rock formation at the tip of Cabo San Lucas.

We then cruised over to Chileno Bay.

En route, we saw a mom and baby humpback whale! It wasn't peak season for whale watching so we were so excited to unexpectedly see them - nothing beats seeing a mom and baby whale on the water.

At Chileno Bay we were able to jump in the ocean and get up close and personal with all the colorful sea life. There were fish everywhere! The catamaran staff provided snorkeling gear and guidance in a protected area designated for snorkeling.

Following snorkeling, we were served lunch - mini tacos & salsas. Then it was time to head back to the marina. We relaxed and listened to some fun tunes while sipping on cheladas.
