Snooze, an A.M. Eatery

Snooze, an A.M. Eatery has opened up a new location on Broadway and we stopped in for brunch this weekend. Snooze is a vibrant, retro chain serving up a seasonal menu of creative breakfast & lunch fare, plus cocktails. They currently have some fun holiday offerings like Cranberry Orange Pancakes, Pumpkin Pecan Pie Pancakes, the Pumpkin Latte, and the Pumpkin Martini.

We arrived at Snooze and were seated at a booth in the main dining room. The aesthetic of the restaurant was sunny and buzzing with Snooze’s signature orange throughout the space. Our server Dan was attentive, friendly and gave us solid recommendations on what to order.

I kicked off our brunch with a Spicy Bloody Mary made with Snooze House Bloody Mix & Spicy Vodka.

Spicy Bloody Mary

This cocktail was savory from the tomato juice with a lingering spiciness from the black pepper, paprika & hot sauce.

To eat, Dan started us off with his favorite pancake, the Strawberry Shortcake. The Strawberry Shortcake Pancake was made with a Buttermilk pancake topped with strawberry coulis, strawberry mascarpone, strawberries & almond streusel.

Strawberry Shortcake Pancake

This pancake was great. The classic buttermilk pancake was fluffy and each bite provided a burst of juicy strawberry from the fresh fruit and delicious strawberry coulis sauce. It was like dessert but for breakfast; what's not to love!

Ross had the Crab & Asparagus Omelet mad with three cage-free eggs with a blend of lump & claw crab meat, Havarti cheese, sautéed asparagus, red onions, & mushrooms.

Crab & Asparagus Omelet

We loved this omelet; the buttery eggs & sweet crab made for a stellar combination. The omelet was topped with roasted tomatoes, a drizzle of house-made cream cheese hollandaise & scallions that made for good texture variation against the fluffy eggs & lump crab.

I had the Juan’s Breakfast Tacos made with three fresh corn tortillas topped with scrambled cage-free eggs, hash browns, jack cheese, house-made green chile hollandaise and pico de gallo. I added on avocado to my tacos.
