STK Steakhouse, Private Dining Event

Looking for a high energy spot to have a fun birthday or event dinner? STK is a great option.

We had a Private Dining Event at STK Steakhouse in Orlando for a birthday dinner & we had a blast. There is a STK Steakhouse in downtown Denver on Market St.

STK's local Event Sales Manager assisted when planning the private dining event and secured the space/tables and helped with menu selection, deposit etc. Kristen Hansen was the Event Manager that booked us for our dinner and she was great to work with (Diana is the STK contact for Denver & she’s awesome). I selected DINNER MENU III for our food options & a premium open bar.

We arrived at STK and were seated in two booths due to our party size.

Communication with staff during a private event is key - our service started off a bit slow but once discussed with the GM, things turned around.

We began our meal with STK's signature sourdough bread with chive oil dipping sauce (STK's bread is always on the house for regular dining or private dining events).

STK's signature sourdough bread

Hot & crisp on the outside, soft & fluffy on the inside! STK’s bread was a solid start to a great meal.

For our first course, guests had the option of Lil' Brgs, Tuna Tartare, or 1/2 Dozen Oysters on the Half Shell.

The Lil' Brgs are made with wagyu beef, special sauce & served on a sesame seed bun.

Lil' Brgs

The wagyu beef on the Lil' Brgs was drool worthy - buttery & sweet. The texture of the meat was firm with a v juicy interior that had serious umami flavor. The special sauce on the burgers gave them a tangy kick that we couldn't get enough of. You cannot go to STK and not get the Lil' Brgs - they are a MUST order - my absolute favorite & they always slap.

The Tuna Tartare is made with raw bigeye tuna, avocado, soy-honey emulsion & taro chips.

Tuna Tartare

The Tuna Tartare was light & fresh with a great presentation of aroma & colors. The tuna was cubed in large pieces which really allowed us to enjoy the tuna's mild, sweet flavor. Tangy Asian flavors were brought forth from the soy-honey emulsion. The texture of the Tuna Tartare was spot on with the meaty tuna & soft avocado against the crunch of the taro chip.

The 1/2 Dozen Oysters on the Half Shell were served with mignonette, cocktail sauce & lemon.

STK has a live DJ so we were bopping to some of our favorite tunes all through dinner. One of our servers was THE best - we had so much fun with him and he kept the energy level & vibes high throughout our entire meal!

For the second course, guests had the option of a 10oz Filet of Beef, a 14oz NY Strip or a Mushroom & Truffle Tagliatelle.

10oz Filet of Beef

14oz NY Strip

The Mushroom & Truffle Tagliatelle is made with braised mushrooms, king oyster mushrooms, baby spinach, shaved black truffle, & pecorino.

Mushroom & Truffle Tagliatelle

The pasta was creamy, rich and the truffles gave off a mouthwatering earthy taste.

The sides were served family style and we had the Tater Tots, Mac & Cheese & Asparagus.

For Dessert, guests had the choice of Cheesecake or Chocolate Cake. The desserts were brought out with candles for the birthday celebration and were served on large wooden cutting boards to make serving easy.

The Cheesecake was served with raspberry coulis & berries.

The Chocolate Cake was served with chocolate ganache sauce.

Chocolate Cake

This chocolate cake was a dream of pure chocolate indulgence. The soft cake had an extra rich flavor and the chocolate ganache tasted like chocolate cream truffles.

There were 14 of us at dinner & with the above selections, the event was a bit over 4K (with gratuity). STK has a Food & Beverage Minimum of $3,000.00 for a private dining event of this size.
