Eddie V's Prime Seafood

Eddie V's Prime Seafood opened up in in the Denver Tech Center Fall of 2020. This restaurant has quickly made their mark on the Denver food scene and is one of the BEST spots to get your fine seafood & steak fix in Colorado. They are the first restaurant in Greenwood Village to receive their 5-star certification!

First thoughts upon arriving at Eddie V's? Bouj. The restaurant is beautiful. With it's moody lighting and large crystal chandelier adorning the center of the dining room, the setting certainly prepares you for impeccable service along with an extraordinary meal.

Emily was our server and she was fantastic - she was very knowledgeable of the menu and easily recommended her favorites (which subsequently turned into some of our favorites).

We started our meal with some of Eddie V's Shellfish options: EAST COAST OYSTERS on Ice With Cocktail And Mignonette Sauces.

These oysters were great. Nice shine and beautiful salinity.

PETROSSIAN CAVIAR - Imperial Ossetra – Refined, Balanced and Nutty* 12 Grams.

a5.jpg

The Petrossian name is synonymous with caviar (GOOD caviar) and no surprise, this caviar is DROOL worthy. Imperial Ossetra caviar has a firm texture and a rich nutty flavor that will leave you wanting so much more. The caviar is accompanied by creme fraiche, minced onion, chives and toasts (which are normally pancakes known as blinis). Caviar "purists" will turn up their noses at these accompaniments but I love them! My take is that Petrossian caviar is sinfully delicious by itself and it's sinfully delicious on a blini!

Next up Appetizers: MAINE LOBSTER TACOS - Housemade Fresh Tortillas with Grilled Sweet Corn Pico.

a6.jpg

The Lobster Tacos are Emily's favorite app that she recommended to us (and we’re SO glad she did); the Lobster Tacos are now our fav app! These lobster tacos are made with steamed, large buttery chunks of lobster that have me salivating just thinking about them. The grilled sweet corn pico gives the tacos a nice tartness, a little sweetness, and an herbal touch. Do not leave Eddie V's without getting the Lobster Tacos.

KUNG PAO CALAMARI - Wok-Fried Vegetables with Roasted Cashews.

a7.jpg

I normally don't like calamari and I like Eddie V's calamari. This calamari is actually spicy (which I love) and the dish is studded with cashews which bodes for a nice crunchy texture against the calamari and veggies.

YELLOWTAIL SASHIMI - Cilantro, Red Chiles and Ponzu.

a8.jpg

This yellowtail sashimi is good - very fresh and brilliantly colored.

Then it was time for dinner and some of Eddie V's premium hand-cut steaks.

BACON WRAPPED FILETS "OSCAR" STYLE WITH KING CRAB - Grilled Asparagus and Béarnaise.

a10.jpg

Yes please! I had my filet cooked medium-rare & it was cooked beautifully. The bacon added some savory and smokey goodness to the filet and also allowed for a crisper sear of the filet's exterior. The King Crab and Béarnaise sauce adorning the filet were *chef's kiss - amazing.

12 oz CENTER CUT FILET MIGNON with PARMESAN AND HORSERADISH CRUST

a11.jpg

Ross had his filet cooked medium and the parm & horseradish crust (per Emily's recommendation) - he really loved his steak.

Sides: the BUTTER POACHED LOBSTER, WHITE CHEDDAR MASHED POTATOES.

a12.jpg

SEX. PURE. INDULGENT. SEX. Sorry lol, that's the only way I can describe these potatoes. They're rich. They're buttery. They're loaded with lobster. They’re mouthwatering. Do not leave Eddie V's without getting this side.

CRAB FRIED RICE WITH MUSHROOMS AND SCALLIONS.

a13.jpg

The crab is the highlight of this delish stir fry side and the scallions add a perfect, fresh flavor.

Dessert: CLASSIC CRÈME BRÛLÉE - Brown Sugar Crust and Chef's Cookies.

a14.jpg

This creme brulee is damn good and is giving my fav creme brulee (Cap Grille) a run for it's money. This creme brulee boasts a rich vanilla custard with a perfect crisp top layer of caramelized sugar and assorted berries to top.

BANANAS FOSTER BUTTER CAKE - Flambéed Tableside and Served With Butter Pecan Ice Cream.

a15.jpg

God bless Emily for bringing us this dessert! She had heard Ross and I going back and forth on what to pick - he wanted creme brulee and I wanted bananas foster - and Ross ultimately won the dessert battle. Emily graciously brought us the bananas foster & it was a MAJOR hit and is now my favorite. Eddie V's Banana Foster is flambeed tableside so you get to see the fire burn off the rum that the bananas are sauteed in. This leaves a delicious rum flavor along with the buttery, sugary, and cinnamony goodness of the cake. YUM!

The food, the service, the ambience - Eddie V’s 5-star certification is WELL earned in my book!
